We just want to help the community

Today we held a community chat at the allotments in the Dingle and invited all those residents who showed an interest in the Bread street planters to come along for a bit of lunch.

We couldn't of chose a better day, the sun was out and there where so many people pottering on their plots.

Andrew. Shirley, Sandra, Colin, Jean and Derek all discussed the planters down their streets and came up with some great ideas on how to tackle the problems and how to transform them. Each of them have agreed to maintain one or more of the planters down their street.

Sandra who came along said " I don't mind maintaining the planters, its a way for me and my partner to give back to the community"

So the day was a success and we will be in touch with each of the residents to discuss further plans so watch this space !
