Afternoon Tea at the SNC

Last week we teamed up with the Southern Neighbourhood Council (SNC) to join them and their local residents for afternoon tea.

We had a fantastic afternoon with almost 40 members of the community coming along for a cuppa and a bite to eat, prepared using locally sourced ingredients by one of our fabulous volunteer chefs.

We all enjoyed looking at some old photographs of the area together and reminiscing about the community then and now.

Everyone who attended filled in a survey about their energy use and how they feel about their energy bills. We'll be checking up regularly over the next year to make sure they're feeling more energy secure and warmer in their homes.

One of our brilliant volunteers also arrived with her patterns, wool and needles to teach us how to knit so we can keep warm this coming winter.

We'll be joining the SNC on the second Tuesday of every month going forward so it'd be lovely to see you there if you can make it!

In July our partners at Liverpool City Council will also be attending with energy advice and help if you're struggling with bills.

For more information about these events, or if you're an organisation who could offer advice to our attendees, please get in touch with Zoe.
