National Tree Week starts on Saturday and we got involved by way of helping to plant trees in the Granby Forest. The planting session was held by Jo from the Mersey Forest and we were delighted to see so many local residents and some of the children from Kingsley Road School turn out and have a go at planting the small trees.
Over 60 trees have been planted throughout the day and including a sweet almond tree that the L8LS project donated to the forest.
We look forward to watching them grow and flourish into the Granby Forest.
