Loving Lodge Lane 2013

The Loving Lodge Lane 2 day event started off with a litter pick where local residents, community organisers, Liverpool City Council and GTDT all got involved to “clean and green” the local streets.

Throughout the first day there were lots and lots of things to do and get involved in from a Garden Sale at Fern Grove Community Garden where you could get a free hanging basket or purchase a compost bin at a discounted price to a variety of stalls and activities in St. Bedes Church Hall.  The L8LS team where on hand to give away free seeds and advice on how to start growing you own food at home.

Day 2 saw the Community Litter Pick continue and an equally impressive list of activities to get involved in. The L8LS team were again on hand to provide some free seeds and advice on growing food at home.

It was a fantastic event and over 400 local residents got involved over the 2 days, so thank you to everyone who got involved to clean and green Lodge Lane.

See you all again next year!!
